The public use version of the database is provided below along with supporting documentation. The data can be analyzed using the downloadable IEA IDB Analyzer (Version 4.0), an application developed by IEA Hamburg to facilitate the analysis of TIMSS data. The entire database and its supporting documents are described in the TIMSS 2019 User Guide for the International Database, 2 nd Edition (Fishbein, Foy, & Yin, 2021) and its three supplements. TIMSS 2019 is the seventh assessment cycle of TIMSS since 1995, providing 24 years of trends in mathematics and science achievement at the fourth and eighth grades. The database includes student achievement data as well as student, home, teacher, school, and national context data for 64 countries and 8 benchmarking participants. The TIMSS 2019 International Database is available to researchers, analysts, and any individuals interested in the data collected and analyzed as part of TIMSS 2019.
